Popham Beach State Park kicks off our series with its’ ever shifting landscapes. It’ll be high tide as we arrive, and you will be able to observe the slow reveal of the long sand beaches, and watch fox Island emerge form the sea. We’ll be changing locations throughout the day to work different viewpoints .
Would you like to connect with your environment in a new, interactive way? Do you want to spend time this summer working on your painting skills, immersed in outdoor spaces? Join Manon Whittlesey for the Tides and Rivers series of outdoor art sessions, where you engage your senses, and practice your mixed watercolor skills.
All art levels/abilities welcome: class is a mix of group and one-on-one direction - we’ll explore different imaging techniques (photo safari, sketching, color blocking) and methods of laying out landscape. I practice a fairly mixed media approach to materials, please being in anything you would like to use and/or learn more about. You will receive artistic support meeting you where you are, whether beginner, intermediate or advanced. A list of necessary supplies will be emailed to you when you confirm registration for the class.
