For our third session, we will meet at Reid state park, and work amongst the fascinating geological formations. Opportunities for investigating the specifics of this wild place abound: botanical specimens, offerings from the sea, and more await your exploring eye.
Would you like to connect with your environment in a new, interactive way? Do you want to spend time this summer working on your painting skills, immersed in outdoor spaces? Join Manon Whittlesey for the Tides and Rivers series of outdoor art sessions, where you engage your senses, and practice your mixed watercolor skills.
In the 2023 Watercolor in the Wild sessions, we will be engaging with Maine's outdoor wilderness and practicing plein air fundamentals in monthly Saturday sessions. These can be taken as a series for progressive learning over the spring and summer, or as a single session .
All levels of artistry are welcome. In a warm and supportive learning environment, beginners will learn fundamentals, more practiced artists will receive feedback around their working process, and learn new approaches.
Open to adults/mature teens - Physical abilities: Popham beach and Reed state park have some accessibility for all levels, however Center’s point requires 1.5 mile walk and is non-wheelchair accessible. Please let me know if you have any specific physical needs, I am always happy to discuss strategies for inclusion!
